A 1700 hectare farm located in San Carlos, Alajuela, in the northcentral part of Costa Rica.
Río San Carlos Agricultural Hacienda currently operates actively and constantly in the development of activities such as livestock, reforestation with native and exotic woods and in the conservation of lush forests, rivers and mountains as well as the preservation of the unique flora and fauna characteristic of the area. The property offers significant virgin primary forest that has been protected for more than 50 years and are subject to the Payment of Environmental Services (PSA) under FONAFIFO, entity attached to the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAE).
Much of the property is bordered by the majestic San Carlos River, which provides pleasant and refreshing views and cozy environments.
Livestock activity has been developed successfully for more than 30 years, working with the best technology for animal welfare.
In addition to the main activities described, a commercial oil palm project is being developed in full force since 2018. Occasional ventures are also made in rural tourism and adventure activities.
